about me

My name is Melanie Evans, and I’m the mother of four children & grandmother to one precious angel. I’ve been rubber stamping and scrapbooking since 1992. Because of my love of these design-oriented crafts, I went back to college in 2007 to pursue a degree in Graphic Design and a second degree in Web Design. I definitely found my passion & niche in life! The irony of that is, once I graduated, I had to find a job immediately because I was going through a divorce…so, I am a photographer & manager in a portrait studio. Definitely NOT where I thought I would be two years after college. Sometimes God sends us in directions we never thought we would go. I love my job & my customers…they are all so special to me! Very soon I see myself taking my photography to a different level…possibly a side business to supplement my income.

My passion for “all things art” has never ceased, although my time to create has. I love designing, drawing, doodling, dabbling in watercolors, creating anything with polymer clay, stamping, traditional scrapbooking, digital scrapbooking, and now I’ve been introduced to the world of mixed media art. Omg! You can imagine what my studio must look like! And lest we forget Copic markers ! Talk about an addiction!! That’s what actually brought me to create a blog to begin with…in 2010. Since my introduction to these incredible tools, I have designed lots & lots of digital stamps for you to download for FREE to use with your Copics. I’m just going to upload those periodically as a treat.

I really hope you enjoy what I have to offer you here on my blog. Please send me any suggestions or comments you may have. I’d love to hear from you & see your amazing work, too!
