Zentangle: In Memory Of…Logan

I wanted to try a monogram, and the first letter that came to me was “L” for the memory of my son, Logan.

I then tried making one on shrink plastic to make a charm for my memory necklace, and it turned out great…until I shrunk it. It distorted and didn’t shrink evenly. And I started with a 4×4″ size, so it was too large when it shrunk. This was a test piece, but I had taken a picture, so I will try to print it smaller on inkjet printable shrink plastic & do a few more trials to get the perfect charm.

Zentangle…part 2…

This was my second attempt. I like the individual parts & pieces, but I have to admit I don’t like the overall look as well as the first one.

It’s all a learning experience, and I enjoyed the creative process regardless.

makeup passion

Because I love makeup as much as art…(maybe it’s all those gorgeous colors!!)…I decided to use a quote I found online & represent in my way.

“Put on a little lipstick…and you’ll be fine.”

I wish that’s all it would take to solve the world’s problems, because I have plenty to share! Lol! Ok, so back to this little piece of doodle…I did this in my little handmade watercolor journal using Inktense pencils, my .03 black Copic multi liners & a my new Pitt pens, a waterbrush, a gray Pitt brush pen, and a little inspiration. Hope you like!

When I received my new set of Inktense pencils, I had to use them immediately…but on what?! So I pulled out my little handmade journal & started drawing rectangles to make a swatch page. The lettering is all catty-whompus (yes, that’s a word! Lol), but I was hanging off the edge of the page with my hand. Either way, this little page is actually pretty handy for determining what color I should reach for…since the pencil points do not give a good representation of what you’re gonna get.

My next move is to make 3 more pages like this with my new Panpastels!! Three new 20 color sets…yummy!! I cannot WAIT to get my hands in, I mean, on those ;).
